One of the most effective ways to push “tampon tax” repeal is lobbying, the process of persuading an elected official to take a stance on an issue. While there are many lobbyist groups, people can individually take up lobbying if there is a select policy that they are enthusiastic about. For example, students advocated for “tampon tax” repeal in Texas and California, inciting legislative action in these states. By contacting and speaking with a state congressional representative, you too can potentially facilitate tax repeal.
